Kitchen crazy...

So I think I spent over 5 hours in the kitchen yesterday. I actually baked...cookies...not from pre-packaged refrigerated dough bits. :) I made Banana Walnut Oatmeal cookies, and I think they turned out pretty good. Not sure what prompted the urge to bake - honestly , I've been fighting it back for several weeks now. I think the fact that The Brain baked a cake over Mother's Day weekend may have been what pushed me over the edge. If she can find time to do it, then so can I! Anyway, after the cookies, I went straight into prepping the dinner that you see below...



Three Cheese-Spinach Lasagna Rolls...also made from scratch! Yum. The family woofed them down. Funny, you spend hours in the kitchen only to have everything you worked so hard to create be devoured in minutes. I guess that's better than spending hours in the kitchen only to have your kids tell you how much they are NOT going to eat what you made 'cause they hate it and it's gross (only happened once - I swear!). So, yeah...not sure where I got the wild hair that kept me in the kitchen all day yesterday, but it was fun.
