Really.
Almost 1/3 of the year is past already! WTF?
I swear I don't know where the time goes. Wasn't it just Y2K?
As I look back upon my blog I realize that I haven't posted since January. I remember feeling so committed to reviving my blog back then, too. I was gonna blog at least weekly, maybe even daily. Boo, me. So much for that commitment. I noticed that I had posted some of my new years resolutions 2 posts ago as well... here's the update (for those who care):
- Stop letting the mail pile up on the kitchen counter. Open it, read it and deal with it appropriately each day. I am happy to say that for the most part I have stuck to this. Yea me!
- Commit to loading up the dishwasher every evening. No more lazy, "I'll do it in the morning" nights. Okay, so this one was initially more difficult, and then became impossible. A couple of weeks ago our dishwasher completely died. Since I refuse to replace it until I have remodeled my kitchen, we are now dishwasher-less. I SUPPOSE I could change my resolution to say I will wash the dishes every night (by hand or otherwise), but why, when I now have such a great loophole to get me out of committing to this resolution? :)
- Fold the clothes as they come out of the dryer. No more digging though big heaps of clean clothes on my couch to find a pair of socks. Doing well with this one. Of course it helps that I now have a "house boy" (a.k.a. Eugene still recovering from his shoulder surgery) who keeps the laundry moving.
- My shoes belong in my closet, NOT all over my living room. FAILED. There's probably 2 or 3 pairs out there right now. Boo.
- I will commit to actually doing the stretches that my chiropractor THINKS I am doing every morning. First of all, let's be honest...I am sure that my chiropractor is smart enough to see through all of my lies and knows that I am not doing those damn stretches. Like they care - they make more money off of me if I don't do them, right? But seriously, this one I need to push harder on myself. I don't want to end up like Eugene after all... all whiny and gimpy, and for the last few months, practically useless post-surgery.
- I will lose 15 pounds. So, in the prior post I boasted that I had already lost the first 5 pounds. Have I continued to make headway on this goal? Not so much. Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure that I've put those 5 pounds back on, plus a few bonus pounds. Boo, again.
Alright. So I've still got a lot of work to do I guess. Not to make excuses, but I really have been insanely busy for the last few months, both at work and at home. Things do seems to be settling down a bit now though, so maybe it's time to regroup and make it happen.
Wish me luck!

Ahh... the "laundry" resolution. Yeah, I abandoned that one months ago! Welcome back to blogtown!
